CORAL GABLES IS SITE OF FINAL COMMITTEE MEETING

A group of classmates met once again at the home of Pat Ussery Brockway for the final 55th reunion planning meeting on May 20, 2011. Cary Findlay opened the meeting with his report. Over 100 classmates have registered from the various classes who are attending. A good number have signed up for the reception at the Miracle Theatre on Thursday night. One hundred and sixty classmates and guests have registered for the Friday Sock Hop and 180 have signed up for the Saturday dinner/dance. Judy Gretner Stowe and Louan Jones Zagarino reported on the decorations for the Friday night dance. Charlotte Stoker reported on the buses and tour scheduled for Saturday. John DeMas brought the banner which will be hung at the various functions. Annette Crofton Cowart modeled the t-shirt and displayed examples of the nametags that she designed. Each class will have a different color on their nametag to distinguish who is in what class. Rhona Berube Chabot reported on the decorations for the Saturday night dance. Laura Kavalir Wright and David Habershaw reported on the entertainment. A representative from the high school band was also present to coordinate their appearance as part of the entertainment. Anne Jensen Harper told of her plans for the memorabilia display.

Before the meeting everyone enjoyed the luncheon provided by our hostess in absentia, Pat Ussery Brockway. After the meeting the group enjoyed socializing with each other. Everyone is looking forward to an exciting reunion.
