SATURDAY SCHOOL TOUR & LUNCHEON
Saturday morning found 70 classmates and guests boarding buses for a tour of Brickell Avenue, downtown Miami, Little Havana and Coral Gables. Tour guides
Charlotte Stoker Smiley and Nita Prieto Maercks pointed out the many changes since 1956.
Arriving at the high school, we were taken on a tour by a guide provided by the school. He was very knowledgeable. we learned of the many changes that had
taken place since our graduation.
At noon we arrived at Merrick Park, a gigantic shopping area located at the site of the old City of Coral Gables maintenance facility, not far from the
school. A number of classmates had lunch at Villagio (arranged by Ron Nadler), shopped, and continued their tour of South Gables.
